What this policy covers
Bulkhead Repair Jacksonville is operated by Barefoot Marine Construction, a Jacksonville bulkhead and seawall contractor holding Certified General Contractor #1533461. This policy explains what Barefoot Marine Construction collects when you use this website, why it is collected, who it is shared with, and what control you have over it.
It covers the assessment request forms, the commercial inquiry form, and ordinary website analytics. It does not cover any contract for work you may later enter into — that agreement has its own terms.
Information you give us
When you submit an assessment request we collect what you enter into the form:
- Contact details — your name, phone number, email address, preferred contact method and best time to reach you
- Property details — the address, city and ZIP code of the waterfront property, and the property type
- Problem details — the symptoms you select, the wall material, the approximate length affected, when the damage started and whether it is worsening
- Any additional comments you write
- Photographs you choose to upload
- For commercial enquiries — the organization name, your role, approximate project size and anything you tell us about the approval process
Only the fields marked required must be completed. Everything else is optional, and leaving it blank does not prevent your request being submitted.
Photographs you upload
Photographs are used to assess the condition of your wall. They are stored with your assessment record and used by Barefoot Marine Construction, operating under Certified General Contractor #1533461, to carry out that assessment.
Photographs are resized in your browser before they are uploaded. This reduces the file size and, as a side effect, removes most camera metadata (including any GPS coordinates) from the version that reaches us. We do not rely on that as a privacy guarantee — if an image contains something you would rather not share, do not upload it.
We do not publish photographs you submit. Project photography is published on this site only where a property owner has specifically agreed to it in writing, as a separate decision from submitting an assessment request.
Information collected automatically
When you submit a request, we record the page you arrived on, the referring website, any campaign parameters in the URL (such as utm_source), and your browser user agent. This tells us which pages and campaigns actually generate enquiries.
If website analytics is enabled, it records aggregate usage — which pages are viewed, which links are clicked, and whether forms are started and completed. Analytics is configured through an environment variable and loads no scripts at all when it is not configured.
This site stores a small amount of data in your browser session to preserve your form progress if you navigate away. It is cleared when you submit, and it never leaves your device until you submit the form.
How your information is used
Your information is used to assess your bulkhead or seawall, to contact you about that assessment, and to arrange a site visit. That is the purpose you provided it for and the purpose it is used for.
Aggregate, non-identifying information is used to understand which content is useful and to improve the site.
Who your information is shared with
Your assessment request, including photographs, is used by Barefoot Marine Construction to assess your wall and contact you about it. That is the point of submitting it. Requests are routed internally by county, and where a request is assigned to a particular estimator or crew it goes to them in full — everything you submitted, not a summary.
It is also processed by the service providers that run this website: hosting, file storage, and — where they have been configured — an email delivery provider and a connected business system such as a CRM, which receives the complete submission. These providers process data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
Your information is not sold. It is not shared with advertisers, data brokers or lead aggregators, and it is not passed to unrelated contractors who might contact you unsolicited.
We may disclose information where we are legally required to do so, or where it is necessary to establish or defend a legal claim.
How long it is kept
Assessment records and photographs are retained while they remain useful for the assessment and any resulting work, and afterwards as a record of what was observed and when.
That historical record has genuine value: a documented baseline is the single most useful thing to have after a storm, because it lets damage be established by comparison rather than estimated.
If you would rather your record were deleted, ask and it will be, subject to anything we are required to retain.
Your choices
You can ask what information is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted.
You can ask not to be contacted again. If you do, we will keep the minimum record needed to honour that request.
Browser settings let you block or clear cookies and local storage. The assessment forms work without them, although your progress will not be preserved if you navigate away mid-form.
Security
This site is served over HTTPS, and submitted data is transmitted encrypted. Assessment records and photographs are stored in access-controlled storage, and the lead management endpoint requires an administrative token.
No system is perfectly secure, and anyone claiming otherwise is overstating. We take reasonable measures appropriate to the information involved, which is contact details and photographs of a waterfront structure.
Children
This site is intended for property owners and the organizations that manage waterfront property. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially, the updated version will be posted here with a new date at the top. Continuing to use the site after that constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
